TUG MC

Tug MC, also known as ‘Buffy’ by his peers is a recognised MC on Bristol’s underground scene who forms part of Da Label-MTG. Tug MC joined Da Label-MTG in the mid noughties and has featured on many mixtapes within the group, such as ‘Nuttin But Bangers' Vol 1 and Vol 2, R.E's 'Rappins Easy' and 'Best Things in life are fREe', plus Uz's 'Real Recognise Real' mixtape and Suge's 'Moving Towards Greatness' album. Tug MC was also the second Bristolian to appear on Channel U’s voting list (now Channel AKA) with a track entitled 'Life is Hard' and some may have also seen him on the 'Who You Reppin' DVD Part 2.

In the early days, Tug MC started mainly on the Ragga scene. It was his gift of blessing open mics at any dance that saw him switch up his flow to other genre's too, including Garage, Jungle and Hip-Hop. It's no surprise then, to hear Tug MC bring a dancehall-indebted style to his flow today in which he harmonises his rhymes easily to make him one of the most recognisable MCs in the group. Those that work closely with Tug MC say he is the man for the catchy hooks and that he brings his own presence to the mic.

Whilst his latest mixtape ’My Life’ is not his first, it’s his first solo mixtape to see an official release to a wider audience and many will be discovering Tug MC for the first time. The mixtape features Suge, Scar, Dre Pound and Big Ray and is available for free download. The mixtape will also be available in Genesis at no set cost, as Tug MC generously asks his fans to make a donation instead.

Tug MC is very appreciative of the support received so far and gives thanks to those that have supported him. He also aspires to work with a variety of artists across all genres and is open to try new things.
