Dutty Girl are a hip hop based crew from Bristol. They have been up and running for the past five years and comprise of a diverse range of DJs, MCs, Producers and more; including artists such as; DJ Diss Miss (the founder), Dj Dazee (legendary Drum and Bass DJ and producer), MC Kash Honey, MC Sarah B, DJ Safe Soul, Klair (singer), DJ Laydee Bird and Zion Flex (singer/MC), aswell as many other affiliates who get involved from time to time;  such as breakdancers, graf writers, producers etc.

 They cross a multitude of genres from Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soul and Funk to Grime, Drum n Bass and Dubstep. Not too glossy or perfectly packaged or processed, they do things their own way, with their own sense of homegirl haute couture style!

The girls are hoping for big things as the organistaion keeps growing and keeps on supporting and sourcing new and up-coming talents. Most importantly they provide their audiences with an alternative from the overtly male-dominated scene, and bring a more light-hearted, cheeky and feminine approach, whilst always taking seriously their music and their audience's enjoyment.

They have been running successful club nights in Bristol under the same name for the past five years and have featured most of the UK's finest female hip hop talents such as; Tor, Nolay, Sarah Love, DJ As-If, C-Mone, Baby Blu and Peaches, Graziella and more.

They also have a shop in St Nicholas's Market selling customised and handmade clothing and even have their own range of Dutty Girl hoodies and tees. They are due to open a new bigger store in Bristol in September 2008 on Cheltenham Road.. Currently they are working on their own material, produced by DJ Dazee and DJ Diss Miss which we are sure you will be hearing very soon! As the legendary James Brown so aptly put it 'It's a Man's World!!'.. But it would be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl..' They always want more women to get involved, so if you wanna, then just holla!!
